environment-friendly materials and methods, promoting bio-based and sustainable alternatives.
We offer
Insulation materials have many properties that are important for their effectiveness, including:
Thermal resistance: Also known as the R-value, this measures how well a material can resist heat transfer. A lower thermal conductivity, or λ (lambda) value, indicates better performance.
Density: A material's density affects how quickly heat or electricity moves through it. Denser insulation can delay heat penetration in the summer.
Thermal expansion: This property affects how hot the material gets and how much it expands.
Temperature limits: The operating temperature range for the material.
Vapor permeability: This accounts for how much water vaporises in the raw material.
Moisture resistance: Insulation should be resistant to moisture and mold.
Fire resistance: Insulation should be fire resistant.
Environmental impact: Insulation can help reduce the need for heating and cooling, which can reduce emissions of pollutants like carbon dioxide.
Insulation can help improve comfort in your home, reduce heating and cooling costs, and limit noise from outside. You can also improve insulation by sealing up gaps and installing draught excluders.
We develop community-owned renewable energy in East Sussex. We want to reduce our local carbon footprint and lower our dependence on imported energy in partnership with schools, businesses and local people.
We create community owned renewable generation assets. So far we have built almost 6MW of solar. We have hundreds of shareholders with hundreds of thousands of pounds invested in community owned renewable energy.
